How it Works

How Does Brown or Red Spot Treatment work?

Each of these state-of-the-art lasers offers a slight variation that allows us to provide you with the most thorough spot removal treatment possible.

The light of the laser is highly targeted so that it affects only the spots to be treated and not the surrounding skin. The light penetrates in short pulses that absorb the brown or red pigment of the spots, or hair to eliminate the issue of concern.

How Do Laser Treatments work?

Lasers emit high energy light that can precisely target a very small area of the skin. The lasers used by Radin Skin Centre are nonablative, which means that the light penetrates deeper layers of the skin, leaving the top layers intact.

The laser is attuned by the practitioner to the color of the spot, vein, or hair, and it targets the pigment in order to remove the hairs or skin condition.

A Typical Brown or Red Spot Laser Treatment

To ensure your comfort, a cool gel is applied to your skin or in the case of IPL, cold air using an advanced Zimmer cooler is used. Some people describe a laser light pulse as similar to the feeling of a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Most people say that the procedure is more comfortable than they expected.

Procedure times vary depending on the number of areas you need to have treated.

Recovering from Brown and Red Spot Treatment

One of the advantages of laser treatment for brown spots and red spots is that you can go right back to your life immediately without any downtime.
There may be some short-term after-effects, however, such as redness, tenderness, and inflammation. In some cases, there is crusting, or you may find that a brown spot becomes darker before it becomes lighter. You can usually cover these symptoms with makeup until they resolve.

Laser treatments make you more susceptible to the sun, so be sure to wear sunscreen when you are outdoors to protect your skin from sunburn and skin cancer.

Results of Brown and Red Spot Treatment

The results of brown and red spot laser treatment are not immediate.
