What Is A Dermatologist?
A dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the medical, surgical and cosmetic aspects of caring for the skin. A dermatologist typically does at least four years of undergraduate university training prior to gaining acceptance to medical school. Then completes four years of medical school and then five years of dermatology training. It usually takes at least 13-14 years of higher education to become a dermatologist in Canada.
Dermatology is one of the most competitive specialties for which to be accepted. Canadian-trained dermatologists must pass the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam that holds them to exceedingly high standards set by the medical profession.
Dermatologists are the only true skin experts. The use of BOTOX, dermal fillers, and lasers in the treatment of aging skin and other issues was pioneered by dermatologists. Dermatologists remain at the forefront of research in skin care and aesthetics. Trust only a highly trained specialist to care for your skin.

Drew McCannJune 29, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been to Dr. Radin 2 times in the past year. Every time I have went my appointment time was right when they said and I was in and out in a timely matter. That being said Dr. Radin also made sure all my questions were answered and made sure I went to the plastic surgeon my dad went to and spoke highly of. All in all a great Doctor and I would not hesitate to go back. linda steedJune 28, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been to Dr.Radin several times and always had a good experience. He is very polite and answers all my question and his staff is very friendly.I would recommend him to anyone needing a skin doctor.Good Doctors are hard to find he is one . Dan LeavoyJune 26, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I visited Dr. Radin for a precancerous skin cancer examination. Unlike other dermatologists that I have visited, Dr. Radin took time to examin my face, scalp and back. Other dermatologists seemed annoyed when asked to look at more than one concerned area. Dr. Radin, himself, sprayed liquid nitrogen on suspect areas not an assistant! As a Fisherman who's in the sun a lot, I take my visits to the dermatologist very seriously and appreciate Dr. Radin's thoroughness! Joy StumpfJune 25, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Went to Dr. Radin office today for my annual appointment. I have been seeing him for 3 years. His office is fantastic. His staff are great and Dr Radin himself has always been very nice, informative and he always talks and has something nice to say. I look forward to my next appointment.
